The growth of steel production in India in September amounted to 4.7 percent, which is slightly lower compared to the average world indicator of 6.1 percent. The growth of steel production in September was a pale shadow of the lifting of the world economy.
According to the World Steel Association, steel production in India increased to 6.54 million tons in September from 6.24 million tons over the same month of last year. On the other hand, the production of steel on a global scale, grew faster and over a month and reached 132, 54 million tons compared with 124, 93 million tons a year earlier.
In many ways, this became possible thanks to a more intensive growth in China, which produced 65.42 million tons of steel in the reporting month, showing 11 percent growth compared to the same month last year. In September 2012, in China, the production of steel amounted to 58.9 million tons.
