Steel production in Ukraine collapsed until the February minimum - Metallurgprom

The total production of raw steel in Ukraine continued to fall in the month of October, reaching the February minimum at the level of 2 million 619 thousand tons. This is evidenced by the data of the Metallurgprom enterprises. The fall in steel production was 2.7 percent compared to September.

At the same time, in January - October of the current year relative to the APPG -2012, the production of steel production is observed by 1.2 percent, up to 27 million 466 thousand tons, cast iron - by 2.3 percent, up to 24 million 297 thousand tons and metal rolling - by 0.6 percent, up to 24 million 398 thousand tons.

Daily production steel at the metallurgical plants of Ukraine in October 2013 on average amounted to 84.5 thousand tons, against 89.7 thousand tons in September.
