The Donetsk electrometallurgical plant (DEMZ) stopped in December last year resumed its activities. According to the city head of the city of Donetsk, Alexander Lukyanschenko, by the end of the year 150 thousand tons of steel will be melted at the factory.
As reported, DEMZ previously belonging to the Russian Group Mechel was returned to its former owner also to the Russian Vadim Warsaw. In the official commander Mechel, it was said that the group could not adapt to the "specifics of doing business in Ukraine."
Obviously, Warsaw has an understanding of Ukrainian specifics. "The enterprise has resumed the reception of new workers," said Alexander Lukyyanchenko. In addition, at the beginning of 2014, the plant will put into operation a new electric stove.
