According to data published by the American Institute of Cast iron and steel (AISI), the production of steel in the USA for a week ending on November 2 amounted to 1 million 833 thousand tons, which is 0.9 percent more than a week earlier and 7.4 percent more than the same week last year.
The use of metallurgical capacities in the United States in the considered period was an average of 76.5 percent, which is higher than 75.8 percent in the previous week and much more than 68.6 percent in the APPG-2012.
