The Office of the Hungarian company ISD Dunaferr belonging to the Ukrainian ISD confirmed that only 400 people, instead of the planned 1500, were announced to touch on reductions. The State Secretary for Employment Policy after consultations with the leadership of the company and representatives of the trade unions announced this. Alexander Jomba said that the government took note that the management company was interested in long -term work and stable operation of the metallurgical plant, and, accordingly, will help it in various fields of activity.
Dismissions may become a “small payment” for continuing the functioning of the entire enterprise, the Secretary of State said. Alexander Jomba said that the government created a working group together with the employer to find the points of contact in the energy sector, in the protection of the environment and other areas of possible cooperation. The state of Hungary does not have the right to provide direct assistance to the enterprise in accordance with the norms and laws of the European Union, the official said. The task of the working group is to find a constructive solution and maintain a long -term stable operation of the missile plant, he emphasized.
“There will be no dismissal on the principle of lawn mower,” the director of ISD Dunaferr Evgeny Tankilevich assured journalists. He added that the reduction of jobs will take place in full accordance with the relevant legislation.
At the same time, the government will further consider the issue of buying out a metallurgical plant in state property, said Alexander Jomba. "The government is working for these four hundred people to be the last phase of abbreviations in the ISD Dunferr, and not the first," he said.
ISD will fire 400 people in Hungary instead of 1,500 as it was previously expected
