For a more complete satisfaction of demand from the growing Indian automotive industry, Steel Authority of India (Sail) will build an additional rental camp with a capacity of 3 million tons of sheet steel per year. The modernization of the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) will be a co -roll and will cost Sail to be more than 4.5 billion rupees (about 70 million US dollars).
On the new RSP camp, hot -rolled steel will be produced in rolons of the highest quality, the company said.
