Today, neither the Uralvagonzavod nor Rostekhnology expressed interest in the final acquisition of the Zlatouzt Metallurgical Plant (ZMZ), located in the Chelyabinsk region of the Russian Federation. The owner of the swordsman Igor Zyuzin failed to agree on the sale of ZMZ in the deadlines allocated to him by Governor Mikhail Yurevich. According to sources, the parties familiar with the negotiations did not converge in price and at the moment negotiations on the sale of ZMZ are stopped.
Recall that the Zlatoust Metzavod was stopped on November 1 of this year, and on November 15, 2/3 of its employees (about 2.6 thousand people) were sent on vacation. The governor of the Chelyabinsk region Mikhail Yurevich created the headquarters to save ZMZ and called the position of the leadership of the swordsman inconsistent, actually accusing him of disrupting the negotiations on the acquisition of the plant. Earlier, he stated that the decision on the arrival of Mechel on ZMZ in 2009 was a strategic mistake of the then leadership of the region.
As reported, the situation in metallurgy and engineering in the Urals has already been called crisis and called on the federal government to pay more close attention to the problems of the region.
