US President Barack Obama during a visit to Arcelormittal in Cleveland advertised an increase in the efficiency of automobile fuel by reducing dependence on foreign oil.
Speaking at the factory, which makes steel for the production of highly economical cars, the president said that for the first time in two decades, in October 2013, the United States produced more oil at home than imported from abroad. Obama called this shift a "huge competitive advantage" for the United States.
Obama said that the revival in the automotive industry during his presidency helped Arcelormittal to preserve more than 1 million jobs in America. Obama said that "we must do more to use new levers of the economy and give the company to hire new workers."
The President identified some positive points in the still lethargic economic recovery, even touched on the problem with the health care law, which is in the spotlight in Washington. Obama earlier on this day announced from the White House that insurance companies would be able to continue to offer consumers their services, which would be canceled otherwise. Obama said that "we will correct what needs to be corrected, and we are going to improve the work of medical laws so that another 5.4 million Americans could access medical care next year, regardless of what is happening."
