Thyssenkrupp tried for more than a year and a half to find a buyer for her factory in the American state of Alabam and Brazil. These factories lead to losses and undermined the capital of the largest steel company in Germany over the past few years.
Thyssenkrupp announced that it is under the stage of negotiations on the possible sale of a steel factory in the United States in the city of Kalvert, Alabama (Thyssenkrupp Steel of the USA). The company also said that "negotiations include long-term contracts for the supply of slabs for Thyssenkrupp CSA, which would ensure the existence of the Brazilian steel factory. If the transaction is brought to a successful completion, then it will still be open." Against this background, the annual financial year was transferred to December 2, 2013.
THYSSENKRUPP Germany is negotiating to sell its American factory with the Consortium Arcelormittal and Nippon Steel. “They are close to the decision. The agreement may be reached next week or two,” informed sources report.
Thyssenkrupp on Tuesday stated that she was pushing the publication of its financial results in the year, since negotiations on the sale of a steel plant in the United States reached a new level, without calling those with whom negotiations were held. ArcelorMittal confirmed that she is still interested in her initial intentions.
