Arselormittal Krivoy Rog, Ukrainian subsidiary of the host of the Mining and Metallurgical Giant Arcelormittal, said that it received a license for an import of 90,000 tons of coke. A license issued by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine will allow the company to import coke from abroad until the end of this year.
The company is in a need for high -quality coal and coke. Currently, the company satisfies the needs at 45 percent at the expense of its own coke. In addition, it acquires another 35 percent from other manufacturers of the coke of Ukraine and at the same time it imports the missing 20 percent of Arselormital Poland.
A quota of 90,000 tons will allow Arselormittal to Kryvoy Rog to continue to import the coke from Poland enterprises until the end of this year for a more complete load of coke production, since the previously allocated quota for importing coal was not enough. Between the enterprises of Arselormital in Poland and Krivoy Rog, an effective logistics chain was created, which ensures the supply of iron ore concentrate to Poland, and to Ukraine - coke.
On October 30, 2013, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a resolution on an increase in the country's imported quota in 2013 from 210,000 tons to 300,000 tons of coke. In full, the quota for the import of Koks in the country for the entire period of 2013 was allocated by Arselormittal Krivoy Rog.
