Zaporizhstal in November 2013 reduced the production of steel by 11.6 percent

In November 2013, the Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant reduced the production of metallurgical products in relation to the APPG-2012. So the production of steel was reduced by 11.6 percent to 279 thousand tons, cast iron smelting decreased by 4 percent to 250 thousand tons, the release of the finished metal rolling decreased by 26.5 percent to 199 thousand tons. This is stated in the message of the press service of Zaporizhstal. In eleven months since the beginning of 2013, Zaporizhstal increased the production of steel by 0.3 percent to 3 million 485.6 thousand tons, increased the rental production of 1.6 percent to 2 million 931.9 thousand tons and reduced cast iron smelting by 0.3 percent to 2 million 934.5 thousand tons. The decline in production volumes in the press service Zaporizhstal was explained by the conduct of large-scale repair work of the main equipment in the dominant, rolling and energy production. The total size of investments aimed at the entire range of repair work amounted to about 62 million 300 thousand UAH.
