US anti -dumping measures seriously hurt Chinese oil pipes manufacturers

China proposed consultations with the United States about the violations presented and the use of adverse facts that caused the use of 13 anti -dumping duties in relation to Chinese pipes for oil wells, in accordance with the mechanisms for resolving disputes of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The representative of the Ministry of Commerce, Shen Diang, said that America mistakenly decided that Chinese manufacturers violate the WTO rules and significantly exaggerated the dumping margin and a series of measures associated with this circumstance. The value of this fine is extremely large for China and is about 8.4 billion US dollars, calculated at a price for the year and introduced before the final decision in the anti -dumping investigation.

Measures taken by the United States of America seriously violate the legal rights of Chinese manufacturers and lead to a significant complication of trade relations. Shen Diang confirmed that China will carefully investigate the abuse of trade protection and trade protectionism. Meanwhile, China is going to insist on protecting the legal rights of manufacturers of domestic industry as a full member of the WTO.

Shen Dayang added that China wants to enter into negotiations with the United States as part of the WTO dispute settlement mechanism, and hopes that the United States can correct its wrong practice regarding oil pipe and fairly resolve issues of China export.
