According to the report, published by the Institute of Chugun and became Southeast Asia, in the first half of 2013, the demand for steel in the countries of the Association of Southeast Asia (ASEAN) increased by 17 percent compared to APPG-2012.
Including in Indonesia, the demand for metal rubles increased by 35 percent to 7 million 600 thousand tons, in Vietnam - by 29 percent to 6 million 200 thousand tons, in Singapore - by 20 percent, in Malaysia and Thailand - by 1 percent.
At the same time, Vietnam imported 46 percent more than in the APPG-2012 (4 million 800 thousand tons), Malaysia increased the import of metal products by 24 percent-up to 3 million 200 thousand tons, Singapore-by 20 percent. At the same time, the Philippines and Thailand reduced the imports of steel by 6 and 5 percent, respectively.
The export of finished rental from the ASEAN countries in the first half of the current year was reduced by 5 percent in annual calculus.
