The committee said that the action plan proposed by the European Commission contains very vague formulations and does not carry decisions on the confrontation of metallurgy cyclic manifestations of the international crisis. According to Claude Rolin, the speaker of the Committee on Economic and Social Policy, he “welcomes the proposal of the European Commission to support the demand for steel sold in the EU, as well as the desire to ensure the access of manufacturers of steel to third countries thanks to compliance with the principles of free trade.
