US dollar in Ukraine tends to mark 11 hryvnia

Trading on the interbank currency market of Ukraine opened with the growth of the dollar. Banks buy dollars at UAH 10.55. and sell for 10.75 UAH.

The euro exchange rate rose by 23 kopecks on purchases and 11 kopecks on sales. Banks buy euros at UAH 14.26. and sell for UAH 14.545.

The exchange rate of the Russian ruble has grown by 1 kopeck both for buying and selling. Banks buy the ruble at UAH 0.2897 and sell at UAH 0.2952.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) established the following official hryvnia exchange rates against foreign currencies on February 27:

$ 1 - 9.5179 UAH, 1 euro - 13.06427 UAH, 1 rub. - UAH 0.26596

The new head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Stepana Kubiv, said today that he considers the situation in the country's foreign exchange market fully controlled and manageable, and that violators of banking discipline and banks who are fond of currency speculation will respond with the principled and tough position of the NBU.
