The administration of the President of Russia announced that it would not ignore the appeal of the Prime Minister of Crimea Sergei Aksenov with a request for assistance in ensuring peace and tranquility in the territory of the autonomy.
Earlier it was reported that the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the ARC Sergei Aksyonov temporarily reassigned the power structures to himself and turned to Putin for help.
“Realizing my responsibility for the life and safety of citizens, I appeal to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to assist in ensuring peace and tranquility in the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea,” said Sergei Aksenov.
According to a UNIAN military source, over 6 thousand special forces troops have been deployed to Crimea from Russia in recent days. Subdivisions are dispersed in different regions of Crimea and Sevastopol.
The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Simferopol has confirmed that not only employees of the disgraced special police unit "Berkut" can obtain Russian passports, but also other citizens of Ukraine. This was announced by the consul of Russia in Ukraine Vyacheslav Svetlichny.
