On March 7, Gazprom did not receive payment for the natural gas supplied to Naftogaz in February. Thus, the total debt for natural gas supplied to Ukraine increased to $ 1.89 billion, Chairman of the Board of Gazprom OJSC Alexey Miller told reporters.
“Today, March 7, was the deadline for payment for February gas supplies to Ukraine. Gazprom did not receive payments to pay off the debt. Taking into account the discount, which is in effect in the first quarter, arrears increased significantly and amounted to $ 1 billion 890 million, ”said Miller.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine lost the right to a discount on natural gas payments and from April 1 will receive fuel at 2013 prices ($ 400 per thousand cubic meters).
