According to expert forecasts, China's leading metallurgical company Baosteel will not be able to raise prices for metal products in April due to persistently weak market demand.
In addition, over the past three weeks, the market price of heavy plate in China has dropped by $ 30 per tonne.
Earlier it was reported that none of the Chinese steelmakers plans to raise prices in April this year, so as not to upset the existing balance of supply and demand.
Sources in China say Baosteel will hesitate to adjust its April prices in order to stabilize the steel market.
