The work of the National Bank in Crimea is blocked by the authorities of the autonomy - Yatsenyuk

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced the disruption of treasury services and the work of the National Bank in Crimea.

“The so-called occupying Crimean authorities announced their intention to switch to the ruble zone and actually cut off the service of both the Treasury and the National Bank of Ukraine,” Arseniy Yatsenyuk said on Monday, March 10.

The government is taking all measures to ensure the stable operation of the Crimean banking system. The current situation will not prevent the Crimean military from receiving funds allocated by the government in the amount of UAH 125 million, which will be transferred to the personal bank accounts of the military, Yatsenyuk stressed.

Earlier it was reported that, according to the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Alexander Shlapak, the budgetary and treasury services of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea are carried out in a regular mode. The minister stated that tax payments from the autonomy to the budget are received without delay.

Crimean Prime Minister Sergei Aksyonov said that his government on Tuesday will provide an action plan for the transition to the ruble zone.
