ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased production of steel and rolled products by 6 percent

In February 2014, PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" increased steel production compared to February 2013 by 6 percent to 539.7 thousand tons, increased the output of finished rolled products also by 6 percent to 461.2 thousand tons and increased the production of pig iron by 7 percent to 475 thousand tons. In the first two months from the beginning of 2014, steel production at the Kryvyi Rih Metallurgical Plant decreased compared to APPG-2013 by 12.5 percent to 915.1 thousand tons, the production of rolled metal decreased by 12.4 percent to 795.6 thousand tons, smelting pig iron decreased by 11.6 percent to 808.4 thousand tons.



The average salary at the enterprise in February 2014 amounted to UAH 5,320.1. (in February 2013 - UAH 5,109.7)

Taking into account the payment of remuneration to the company's employees based on the results of work in 2013, the average wage in February 2014 amounted to UAH 9,860.9.

“The level of production of the main types of products in February 2014 was the best compared to production indicators for the same period in previous years. In February 2014, the company produced 17 thousand tons of pig iron and 20 thousand tons more steel than the business plan suggested.

In February, all planned repairs were carried out, such as repairs of converter # 6, rotary kilns # 1 and # 5 of the refractory-lime shop, blooming # 2. Last month, the repairs of the twin-bath steel-making unit No. 6 began, as well as the overhaul of sinter machine No. 2 of the sinter plant of metallurgical production, which will be completed in early April 2014.
