Metallurgical enterprises of Metinvest Group mastered the production of 33 types of new products in 2013

The range of rolled products was expanded at several enterprises of the Group at once: Enakievsky Metallurgical Plant, Azovstal, MMK im. Ilyich and Promet Steel (Bulgaria).

Among the new products are high-strength flat products of the S890Q brand, square products of 10-20 mm, long products made of 09G2S and 10KhSND steels. From these materials, for example, cars and excavators are made.

For the construction of railways and wagons, industrial production of rolled products with improved characteristics has been established - channel 8B and UIC60 rails with a hardened side edge. The assortment of angle sections and longitudinal electric-welded pipes, as well as bar and thermomechanically hardened rolled products (S420M, S460M) has been increased.

In 2013, the production of welding wire rod Sv08GA, Sv08GS, Sv08G1MNA and wire rod of new sizes (8.5; 10.5; 11.0; 13.0 mm) for the hardware industry (production of nails, bolts, screws and other fasteners) was started. The range of strip products has been expanded (X80, X70M PSL1, X60M, X60MSO PSL2). This product is used in the construction of oil and gas pipelines. The production of screw fittings and profiles made of 20G2AF steel for roof bolting of mine workings has been mastered.

All new products have increased wear resistance. Their production requires less metal and operating costs. By mastering new types of products, Metinvest Group plans to increase sales in Ukraine and abroad.
