Outokumpu to supply 22,000 tons of double layer stainless steel for natural gas project in Oman

Outokumpu will supply 22,000 tonnes of Outokumpu Duplex 2205 stainless steel for a natural gas development project in Oman. Deliveries will begin in the first half of 2014 and will continue until 2016.

The materials supplied by Outokumpu will be welded by Sosta and Inox Tech. Sosta is a major manufacturer of welded stainless steel pipes, specializing in the oil and gas market worldwide, and its pipes are used in gas exploration and natural gas terminals. Inox Tech is a leading manufacturer of large diameter heavy wall welded pipes made from corrosion resistant alloys.
