British troops will take part in NATO exercises in the Baltic states to calm Ukraine and prevent Russia from advancing westward. This was announced today by the British Defense Secretary Philip Hammond.
Mr. Hammond said that England has the fourth largest defense budget in the world and the Royal Navy is successfully fighting pirates in the Caribbean, and Her Majesty's ships are participating in rescue operations in Malaysia.
Tension in the world is growing and today US Secretary of State John Kerry met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Paris.
Philip Hammond said Britain would support its NATO allies and warned Russia against attempting to seize more territory. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of England did not say which troops and in what quantity will take part in the demonstration of NATO force in the Baltic.
