The export of Ukrainian iron ore in 2013 amounted to 37 million 940 thousand tons, which is 8.3 percent more than in 2012. The largest consumer of iron ore from Ukraine was China, which imported 44.8 percent of all exports or 17 million tons.
Ukraine also increased the export of iron ore raw materials to the Czech Republic by 12.7 percent to 4 million 950 thousand tons, and exports to Poland amounted to 4 million 90 thousand tons. Also, Ukraine supplied about 3 million 470 thousand tons of iron ore to Slovakia.
