In particular, 859 thousand tons of iron ore were manufactured in March, which is 119.8 percent compared to February, rolled products - 807 thousand tons, which is 111.8 percent, concentrate - 4.8 million tons (119.6 percent), pellets - 1.1 million tons (120.8 percent), coke - 290 thousand tons (105.8 percent), pipes - 113.8 thousand tons (105.2 percent). Steel and pig iron producers maintained their production rates at the level of the previous month.

Petrovsky "not only increased the indicators of March in comparison with February for the production of pig iron (by + 15.4 percent), steel (by + 12.3 percent), rolled products (by + 27.3 percent) and coke (by + 3.5 percent), but also increased production volumes for 3 months of 2014 compared to last year for the production of pig iron (+ 7.4 percent), steel (+ 3.7 percent) and rolled products (+ 3.8 percent).

PJSC "ArcelorMittal KR" also distinguished itself by the growth of production indicators in March and for three months of this year. In particular, in March, the production of rolled products (by + 12.1 percent), iron ore (by + 1.1 percent), concentrate (by + 20.2 percent) and coke (by + 10.4 percent) increased at the enterprise. ... For 3 months of 2014, compared to the same period last year, the enterprise increased the production of iron ore (+ 27.2 percent), concentrate (+ 5.4 percent) and coke (+ 23.6 percent).

OJSC “DMK im. Dzerzhinsky ”also in March demonstrates an increase in the production of pig iron (+ 13.3 percent), steel (+ 9.9 percent) and rolled products (+ 6.8 percent).
As noted in Metallurgprom, the indicators of the mining and metallurgical complex in March could have been slightly higher, if not for objective obstacles. In particular, interruptions in the full-fledged operation of blast furnace No. 9 at OJSC ArcelorMittal KR, which requires debugging after major repairs.

OJSC “DMK im. Dzerzhinsky ”could also demonstrate high performance, if not for interruptions in the supply of coke from the Alchevsk Coke and Chemical Plant, where the accident occurred.
