NLMK supplies steel for the production of Samsung household appliances in Kaluga

NLMK Group, one of the leading manufacturers of steel and rolled products with high added value in Russia, has started supplying pre-painted steel for the production of household appliances by the Korean conglomerate Samsung at its plant in the Kaluga Region.

NLMK produces a new premium product on the Russian steel market, which was previously supplied exclusively by foreign manufacturers. This product has been specially designed for the production of Samsung products.

NLMK steel has a smooth polyester surface and a highly corrosion resistant polyurethane coating for use in harsh environments. Tests carried out jointly with Samsung have confirmed that NLMK steel fully meets the requirements, both in terms of color and appearance, mechanical and other qualities, and in terms of its environmental friendliness.

NLMK will continue to develop its capabilities to manufacture and sell high value-added products, filling the existing niche in the Russian steel market, which is key for the company, by leveraging its technological potential and providing a high level of customer service.
