Tenova and Danieli Teamed up with Nippon Steel to Create New Technology

Tenova и Danieli объединили с Nippon Steel для создания новой технологии
Tenova and Danieli have entered into an agreement with Nippon Steel to combine their Energiron DR technology with optimized blast furnace technology as well as high efficiency coal gasification and gas recovery technologies.

Combined, the two key areas will provide technology integration in existing and future synthesis gas and blast furnace processes. The merger of technologies will aim to significantly reduce the cost of manufacturing blast furnaces compared to conventional manufacturing methods.

This new alliance will allow the three companies to combine R&D with existing blast furnace and gas synthesis technology with the ultimate goal of developing a new pig iron technology.

Working together will reduce CO2 emissions and operating costs while increasing productivity and lowering capital costs for an integrated steelmaking business.

In addition, an optimized combination of Energiron direct reduction technology and high efficiency coal gasification and steel by-product utilization technologies will allow access to customers located far from natural gas sources.

The alliance also envisions the joint marketing of existing direct reduction technologies with customers' blast furnaces. This new alliance, formed by Tenova, Danieli and NSENGI, aims to capitalize on the key advantages of its technologies and capabilities, which also include environmental and economic gains over existing technologies.
