Germany was the main exporter of rolled brass to the United States in April. US imports of rolled brass in April this year were reported to be 48.58 million pounds, up 11.8 percent from 43.47 million pounds of imports recorded in April 2013. During the first four months of this year, imports of brass products to the United States totaled £ 177.270 million, up 13.6 percent from the same period a year earlier.

However, US exports of rolled brass totaled £ 22.798 million in April this year, down 4.8 percent from April 2013 exports. Cumulative exports of brass products from US factories during the first three months of this year were £ 85.977 million, down 4.1 percent from exports during January-April last year.
