In the first half of this year, crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, the Ukrainian subsidiary of the world famous giant ArcelorMittal, amounted to 3,037,000 tons, down 2.7 percent year-on-year.
In addition, in the first half of 2014, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih recorded a 6.6 percent YoY decrease in finished steel output, which stood at 2,659,000 tonnes, while pig iron production declined 1.5 percent over the period to 2.670 million tonnes.
Meanwhile, in June alone, the company produced 560,000 tons of steel, 490,000 tons of pig iron and 481,000 tons of finished metal products.
