The Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant (CZP) in the first half of this year produced 87,649 tons of commercial grade zinc and zinc alloys, which is 2.5 percent higher compared to the same period last year.

CZP, Russia's largest producer of high-quality zinc and alloys, reports that 52.7 percent of the metal was sold on the Russian market, while in the first half of 2013, domestic sales accounted for 70.8 percent. Lead in lead concentrate production increased by 29 percent to 3,026 tonnes compared to 2,345 tonnes in the first half of 2013.
