Uralvagonzavod has adjusted the operation of a new plasma cutting machine

In the press shop of the head enterprise of the UVZ corporation, commissioning of a new domestic machine "Kometa", designed for plasma cutting, has been carried out. The new car was produced in Tver. The press shop is currently working on an expansion and equipment upgrade plan for approximately 2 years.

At the same time, Uralvagonzavod purposefully chose equipment from a Russian manufacturer, since, starting in 2008, such equipment has been successfully operating in a three-shift mode with a high load. Equipment and, including. welding machine does not fail and ensures the production of high quality parts. The fact is that the products of the press shop are used in the production of all cars and combat vehicles. The product range is nearly 6,000 items.

Plasma cutting, like other types of thermal cutting, is considered harmful due to the release of aerosols during operation. The machine, which was hulled in 2014, uses special tables that ensure the extraction of harmful substances from the cutting area and can significantly reduce the volume of exhaust air while observing the smoke and dust removal standards. The innovation will improve the working conditions in the shop and increase the productivity of tasks.

An important advantage of the new machine compared to the old model is the presence of a CNC system and modern drives, which ensure smooth movement and improve the quality of the parts being manufactured. In general, the operation of plasma equipment meets all environmental requirements.

The specialists of the press shop note that modern Russian-made CNC equipment is not inferior to foreign counterparts, while having a lower price and simple operation. In addition, there are always component parts in stock, which, if necessary, can be quickly replaced, and their delivery and price are not tied to the exchange rate of foreign currencies.
