A new metallurgical plant will be built in the Irkutsk region

The Vtorchermet company became one of the initiators of the construction of a plant in Eastern Siberia by investing its own funds. At the same time, it is envisaged to attract credit funds and financial support from the local budget. The regional government promoted the inclusion of the project in the list of priority investment projects at the federal district level.

It is planned to start construction of a ferrous metallurgy plant in the Irkutsk region in Bratsk in September this year. As a raw material, the new plant will use scrap metal, which is going to be supplied by Vtorchermet. The winner of the tender will be selected as the contractor for the construction of the plant. Currently, the construction project has successfully passed the environmental and technical state expertise.

The environmental impact of the production of the future plant meets the strictest environmental standards in Europe and world norms, therefore the project received a building permit in the shortest possible time. A modern gas cleaning system and advanced equipment will be installed at the metallurgical plant, which will provide optimal working conditions and high productivity, while causing minimal damage to the environment.

The metallurgical plant plans to produce long products, mainly intended for construction. The design production capacity of the facility will be 200 thousand tons. The new plant will create 520 jobs. The project also provides for the construction of a kindergarten and housing for plant workers. The project is expected to be completed in two years and will cost 7.3 billion rubles. This will be the first ferrous metallurgy plant in Eastern Siberia.
