Metinvest boosts steel exports to the EU

This year Metinvest has increased the number of products with double certification - national and EU, which allows selling steel on the domestic market and for export. Currently, these are not only slabs, but also galvanized coils, circles, pipes, etc.

According to the Ukrainian Center for Steel Construction, the Ukrainian steel market in 2016 grew by 6 percent to 69 thousand tons. In the first three quarters, the export of steel structures amounted to 7 thousand tons.

This year Metinvest launched two new types of galvanized coils that meet European standards. The product is specially designed for the construction industry. According to the company, these steels are exported from Ukraine to Poland, where a significant part of Polish corrugated sheets is produced. Ukraine has also increased the consumption of these products.

The company has launched regular supplies of galvanized steel that meets all the requirements of European standards. Ukraine is actively developing sales of galvanized products on the EU market. In the past, Metinvest's supplies were focused on the domestic market of Ukraine and the CIS countries, and now steel coils are also supplied to the Polish market and other European countries.
