Coal miners in the Volyn region in northwestern Ukraine have blocked the road to the Yagodin-Dorogusk border crossing with Poland, according to the Ukrainian border guard. They are demanding payment of back wages.
The blockade participants are workers of the mine in Novovolynsk, who have not been paid salaries since July, - the media in Volyn explained.
About 70 miners took to the road and stopped traffic. As a result of negotiations between the police and the picket participants, it was decided that they would only allow cars to pass, but the movement of trucks was completely blocked, as the border guard said.
With identical postulates, miners from Novovolynsk blocked routes leading to Poland in 2015 and 2016.
