Mexico's Ministry of Economy has launched an anti-dumping investigation into heavy plate imports from Italy and Japan, regardless of country of origin, the ministry said on Tuesday.
The product to be examined is heavy slabs no more than 4.75 mm (0.187 in) thick and a width equal to or greater than 600 mm (23.6 in), regardless of length, the ministry said in a statement released by Mexico's Gazette spokesman. These products are identified by TS codes 7208.5101, 7208.5102, 7208.5103, 7208.5201 and 7225.4099.
The investigation period was determined from May 2016 to April 2017, and the period for damage analysis was from May 2014 to April 2017.
