The Russian Ministry of Economy and Trade has requested the creation of an arbitration panel at the World Trade Organization to consider EU anti-dumping measures on imports of cold rolled coil products, Callanish said from official reports.
The ministry requested the creation of a commission on March 11. This follows a series of formal consultations between high-level trade officials from Russia and the EU, which have failed to reach a mutually satisfactory agreement, the Russian ministry said.
The Russian CRC is subject to antidumping duties in the amount of 18.7-36.1%, MMK - 18.7%, Severstal - 34%, NLMK and other suppliers - 36.1%. They have been applied since February 2016 for five years. Russia initially tried to challenge the duties by requesting consultations in January 2017.
The WTO will consider the request for arbitration on March 26.
