Import prices for South American plate fell

Due to weak demand and a declining trend in global steel, prices for imported stove from South America fell last week. The price in September fell 14.8% from the highest price in April this year.

Market participants said that the decline in prices for South American hot and cold rolled sheets was significant.

However, coated wafers are still in greater demand. Currently, coated sheets in Europe are still cheap, while prices for Chinese sheets in South America were relatively uncompetitive, so it was known that the European market was not doing well.
