The Azovstal plant chooses an integrated approach to solving the environmental problems of Mariupol

The active phase of the restoration of design indicators of gas treatment facilities at the Azovstal Communist Party began, Metinvest’s press center reports. Repair work is carried out simultaneously at the infantry, stopped at the request of the Mariupol residents in the domain and converter workshops.

Repair and restoration work is held as part of the previously developed program for modernization of treatment facilities, investments in which will be about 43 million UAH.

As a result of the first part of the program, the worn sections of the duct over the fan No. 2 of the aspiration installation of the coke battery No. 3-4 are replaced today. At the installation of the worthless issuance of coke, batteries No. 1 identified and eliminated all the existing air leaks, the valves of the prefabricated manifold passed overhaul. The worn section of the duct was replaced by the groove of the loading of the aspiration installation of the coke of the coke battery No. 1.

The specialists of the plant began repairing gas pipelines of battery cyclones and a device for the installation of batteries of battery cyclones of the agglomeration machine No. 1., The launch of which was planned on December 3, but was postponed due to the identification of additional damage. Also, work on the restoration of the tightness of the shelters of the gas treatment plant of agglomans No. 1 and 2 and their tail part continues.

In the converter shop in the near future, it will be necessary to work out options for modernizing the electrofilter of the gas -preparation of the cast iron desulfuration department, after which the final decision on the implementation of this project will be made. During December, the aspiration installations of mixers No. 1,2 and the slopes of slag will be brought into the design state, as well as the operation of the electrical filters of the aspirations of the Code of Criminal Procedure No. 1,2.
