Russia will invest $ 20 billion in the coal industry. A significant increase in coal production is expected in Russia. In this context, the country looks primarily at Asian countries. Due to the expected growing absorption of these markets, Russian companies intend to significantly increase production. Thus, the export of coal from this country to the Asian markets will gradually increase and will exceed the supply to the European markets.
In 2019, Russian mines produced about 430 million tons of coal.
The country's plans for the extraction of minerals are to increase production to the level of 670 million tons per year by 2035.
Investments by 2025 are estimated at approximately US $ 20 billion. In just four years, Russian mines will be able to produce up to 560 million tons of coal per year. And then this level of production will still grow significantly.
