The recent weakening of global price trends could affect prices in Europe. Local buyers are negative and buy conservatively. However, the EU mills are currently supplying hot rolled coil (HRC) for delivery in the fourth quarter and the capacity quota has been filled.
Some distributors believed market prices would fluctuate greatly in the short term, but the downward trend has not been constant.
As for the imported HRC, the EU has decided to extend the safeguards by three years, so the cheap imported HRC is unlikely to impact the EU market.
