Polish company will supply mining machines to Russian mines

The tender for the supply of 13 machines for the Ural plant PAO Gaiski won the offer presented by a subsidiary of the Polish company - Zanam Vostok. The cost of the contract was not disclosed.

In 2022-2023, KGHM Zanam will supply 13 mining machines to the mines of the plant. Delivery of the first three is scheduled for 2022, and the subsequent ones will reach the recipient in 2023.

The won tender is another export success of the KGHM capital group on the Russian market. In June, Zanam Vostok (a subsidiary of KGHM Zanam) operating in the Russian Federation won a tender for the supply of 12 specialized machines - 11 MK-1M loaders and one SWW-1 /1H drilling rig.

After signing a contract based on a tender, all vehicles will be delivered until 2023. "This is a clear confirmation of the validity of our efforts to expand our business to foreign markets. Each subsequent export contract strengthens the KGHM Polska Miedź brand, so we continue this process and receive new orders," says Marcin Khludzinski, President of KGHM.

However, the succession of KGHM Zanam's success in the Russian market began only this year. In February 2019, Zanam Vostok signed a contract with a Russian contractor to supply nine K-1M chargers.

Another contract - this time for the supply of six EK-1M loaders and four SWT-3K vehicles - was signed in May 2020.

- As of 2019, the Russian contractor has already ordered a total of 39 EK-1M loaders. Thus, it is safe to say that this equipment is the export hit of KGHM Zanam. Another order from the same partner proves that our company offers not only a competitive price, but also a professional package of services to support the operation of machines, says Bernard Cihotzky, President of the company.

KGHM Zanam also has a strong position in the German market. For several years he has been cooperating with the mining holding K + S AG. The latest order, from April 2020, testifies to the German contractor's confidence in the products from Polkowice, when K + S AG ordered 13 articulated wheel loaders.
