For ten months since the beginning of 2012, Europe has lost more than a third of the whole import of steel - Eurofer

According to the results of January - October 2012, the European Union countries compared with the same period last year reduced the purchases of steel products by 32.8% to 11 million 852 thousand tons. At the same time, the demand for sheet steel fell by 35.3% to 9 million 522 thousand tons, and on varietal and long metal rolling - by 18.6% to 2 million 331 thousand tons, the European Association of EUROFER was reported.

Losses of imports in the eurozone only during October 2012 amounted to 18.17%, reducing the supply of 139 thousand tons in relation to October 2011. The total demand for sebaceous products in Europe, according to experts, will fall by 4-5% this year and will continue to fall in the next 2013 by 3-4% at least.

Recall that Ukrainian metallurgists are almost completely dependent on the European steel market, which has repeatedly become the subject of criticism of domestic experts. In 2012 alone, the European Union countries accounted for more than 30% of the total Ukrainian export of metal rolling and steel semi -finished products.
