Low demand for steel sheet due to high prices in Taiwan

To reflect the cost, Taiwan's market price for steel sheet rose to more than NT$32,000 per ton. During this period, subsequent buyers replenished stocks. Thus, after the increase in steel sheet prices, demand slightly decreased. It was expected that demand could recover after the announcement of new quotations for imported steel sheet.

Resupply was started from February to the end of March. Buyers in subsequent stages not only replenished stocks, but also increased order volumes due to high demand for steel plate. They said they would not be restocking until steel mills cut steel plate prices.
