The right of miners to surcharge during the movement in the mine from the barrel to the place of work and back is assigned to the law

According to the Federal Law of July 31, 2025, 335-ФЗ employees engaged in underground work in mines, compensation (surcharge) is established for the time spent on movement from the shaft of the mine to the place of work and vice versa. The amount of compensation is calculated on the basis of the tariff rate of the underground mining of the 3rd category used at the mine, and is paid at the expense of the organization.

we note that the surcharge during movement in the shaft from the barrel to the place of work was used earlier. It was provided for by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 452 of May 15, 1998. However, since the government was not credited with the authority to establish the obligation to pay such an additional payment to business entities, it was decided to include relevant provisions directly to the industry legislation.

the law enters into force on September 1, 2025.
