The Dnepropetrovsk Metallurgical Plant named after Petrovsky for the first eleven months of this year reduced the production of finished metal products to 644 thousand tons, which is 5.7% lower than last year for the same period.
Steel smelting at the Petrovsky plant fell from January to November 2012 by 6.3% to 746 thousand tons, the production of cast iron lost 1.8% reaching the level of 785 thousand tons.
For November 2012, PJSC “Evraz - Dnepropetrovsk Metallurgical Plant named after Petrovsky” manufactured 71 thousand tons of metal rolling, melted 86 thousand steel and produced 81 thousand tons of cast iron.
Last year, the Petrovsky plant also reduced production: became 2.5% (862 thousand tons), cast iron by 6.4% (861 thousand tons) and metal rolling by 5.2% (745 thousand tons), all data relative to 2010.

The Dnepropetrovsk Metallurgical Plant named after Petrovsky is one of the oldest metallurgical enterprises in Ukraine. More than 80% of cars produced in the USSR drove on wheels of production of the Petrovsky plant. Today, the main products of the enterprise are a workpiece, a shaft stand, crane rails and sortone rental. The company is part of the Evraz group.
