The corresponding memorandum today was signed by representatives of both countries in Hong Kong.
“Our goal is to create a fund that will contribute to the accumulation of financial resources and promote projects and programs for the development of agriculture of Ukraine, to expand the Chinese -Ukrainian trade in the field of agro -industrial products. The fund plans to attract up to $ 600 million for projects that will be selected, and gradually bring to $ 6 billion, ”said Feng Kin, deputy chairman of the board of the Chinese -Ukrainian Association for the implementation of international projects.
Projects in the construction of plants for the production of plant protection and fertilizer protection equipment were recognized as priority; modernization of irrigation systems, the use of new technologies for increasing the yield and productivity of cattle breeding and poultry farming, and the development of logistics.
The association notes that China is interested in increasing imports of high -quality Ukrainian products of the agricultural complex to increase its own food security.
At the initial stage, 16 large industrial companies involved in the Association participate in the work of the fund. The founders expect that in the future other corporations from the mainland of China and Hong Kong will also connect to work.
