"Despite the 15% growth in production, according to the results of 2012, Arcelormittal Krivi Rih can hardly reach a positive financial result. The profitability of metallurgical production practically does not exceed a zero mark, and, most likely, losses will be recorded at the end of the year," Artem Polyakov emphasized.
As we have already reported, in January-November 2012, the volume of production steel on Arcelormittal Krivoy Rog, the Ukrainian subsidiary of the ARCELORMITAL steel giant, amounted to 5 million 869 thousand tons, increasing by 13.8% compared to the same period last year.
The growth of production for eleven months of 2012 - metal rolling products amounted to 14.3% of 5 million 109 thousand tons compared to the same period last year.
However, in connection with the current adverse atmosphere in the world's steel markets, the ArcelorMittal administration Krivi Rih warned about additional personnel reduction in 2013.
