Forecasts for Ukrainian production steel in 2013

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine expected in the metallurgy in 2012 a much larger, namely fabulous growth of almost 9% to 38 million tons. The Metallurgprom association laid into its forecasts a more modest 4-5% growth in steel and metal production. The domestic market for the metal rolling was not yet strangled, the enterprises invested funds in the replenishment of warehouses and the second wave of the debt crisis that covered Europe seemed to be a slight sea surf.

Today, most experts and market analysts have become absolutely sure that 2013 will become no less complicated for the metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine than the current one.

The GP "Ukrpromvneshekspertiz" believes that the cost of Ukrainian metal rolling will decrease, reaching 8%fall in some positions. Once again, according to the analysts of this organization, Ukrainian metallurgists relate to the alleged growth of global steel consumption, that is, as usual in foreign markets. The real salvation for the metallurgical industry, according to the experts of the Ukrpromvneshekspertiza SE, will be that the raw material base and metallurgical production in most cases belong to one owner. In general, the forecast for 2013 from the Ukrpromvneschexpertiza State Enterprise remains optimistic - steel production growth will be 3% and reach 33.7 million tons.

According to Metallurgprom, it remains a real optimist and, regardless of last year’s mistake, predicts 5.52% of steel production growth in Ukraine. According to experts in Metallurgprom, in 2013, Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises will be supplied at least 34.4 million tons of steel.

Recall that in January - November 2012, the production of steel decreased by 7%, to 29 million 828 thousand tons, compared with the same period of 2011.
