According to the press center of the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant named after Ilyich, 2012 was difficult and the company survived largely due to the professionalism of the labor collective. Recently taken under the pressure of the Mariupol residents, the decision on the beginning of a large -scale reconstruction of the factory agglophabum will be the beginning of the modernization of the entire enterprise and will become a new era in the development of the Ilyich plant.

“The beginning of the reconstruction of the agglofrot is the beginning of a large -scale reconstruction of the entire plant and its new and confident future, which will allow the Ilyich plant not only to support the good name of the flagship of the Ukrainian metallurgy, but will also be able to bring the enterprise to the leaders of the world metallurgical community. The new year 2013 will be the year of the new era, the year of the new faith and the hope that everything will be fine with us, ”says Yuri Zinchenko, Director General of the Ilyich MMK.

The capacities of the Ilyich MMK infabric, the largest agglopric in Europe, designed to produce 12 million tons of agglomerate per year - is enough to ensure the production of metal at both Mariupol enterprises of the Metinvest group, including the needs of Azovstal. To restore its design capacity, an unprecedented reconstruction will be required. The project is designed for 6-8 years and will cost Metinvest in the amount of about $ 330 million.
