The number of iron ore in Chinese ports is the ninth week in a row, the National Bureau of Statistics of the PRC reports. As of December 28, 2012, the total amount of iron ore reserves in 30 main ports of China amounted to 73 million 140 thousand tons, which is 670 thousand tons less than only a week earlier. The annual drop in stocks of metallurgical raw materials on December 28 amounted to 22 million 460 thousand tons.
According to officials of the statistical bureau, as of December 28, 2012, the supply of iron ore from Australia decreased by 320 thousand tons, from Brazil by 220 thousand tons and from India by 120 thousand tons compared to the previous work week.
